Anchorage Arctic Research Day

26 April 2018 * Anchorage Museum

Registration is now open for the 2018 Anchorage Arctic Research Day that will be held at the Anchorage Museum on Thursday, 26 April 2018 as part of the North by North Festival.  This event, organized by the Arctic Research Consortium of the U.S., the University of Alaska Anchorage, the Anchorage Museum, and the Institute of the North; will bring together members of the Anchorage-area Arctic research community to share information among the diverse research and creative activity being conducted by a broad array of organizations, and to foster new connections and collaborations.

This gathering will include participants from government, corporate, academic, not-for-profit, and Indigenous groups, and will feature oral panel discussions by leading researchers across the natural and social sciences, health, engineering, humanities, the arts, and governance.

The day will also feature both formal and informal activities to encourage networking and robust roundtable discussions to encourage collaborations across the boundaries of discipline, organization, and sector.

All participants are invited to:

  • Share information about their own areas of research or interests,
  • Propose topics for roundtable discussions, and
  • Share a poster highlighting their work (space permitting).

Please use space available on the registration form to suggest roundtable discussion topics and to indicate if you are interested in sharing a poster.
